Growing Literacy in the Afghan Police Force

2114Abdul Rashed Azizi , a Herat Zone master instructor for the ANP Literacy Program, presents a certificate of completion for Level 2 literacy training to an Afghan National Police officer. About 160 students just finished the program in Farah Province and a short ceremony was held for the now-literate ANP that could make it the event.

2109 Belqais Roshan, a senior members of the Farah Provincial Shura, addresses a crowd of Afghan National Police who recently completed Level 2 literacy training in Farah Province. Level 2 training consists of 120 hours of instruction in speaking, reading, writing and use of mathematics.
2117 An Afghan National Police officer proudly raises his certificate of completion for Level 2 literacy training. Literacy training for ANP occurs in nearly all regions and provinces.
